Archaeological survey works have been completed on a popular Peak District path - the Cutthroat Bridleway on the Moscar Estate.

The investigations were needed to ensure proposals to repair the eroded and damaged surface will take into account any archaeological features.

Works will now start on drawing up the proposals which will go out for consultation with user groups and the Local Access Forum to comment on.

The project is being funded by Natural England and Derbyshire County Council.

We will be providing regular updates as the work progresses.
