Members of our team had the opportunity to see for themselves the raised bogs in Gauja National Park, Latvia, this month as part of the Conference on Conservation and Management of Wetland Habitats.
Richard Guy, conservation works officer, said: “Fascinating place to visit for a conservationist, the biodiversity there is incredible. For anyone interested in sphagnum moss, this place is paradise."
The conference was organised by EU LIFE project, ‘Conservation and Management of Priority Wetland Habitats in Latvia.’
