Our work to tackle carbon emissions by re-vegetating large areas of bare peat across the Peak District National Park was commended by the High Peak’s new MP, Ruth George.
As part of her maiden question to the House of Commons following her election as MP for the borough in June, Ruth asked ministers about timescales for the Government’s carbon reduction plan, but not before mentioning the Moors for the Future Partnership.
Claire Perry, the Minister of State, Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy added: “I am delighted to welcome this incredibly innovative partnership; making real progress in working out how we can naturally store carbon in the peat environment.”
