Calling all MoorCitizens Volunteers!
You are invited to attend our Bumblebee Survey Training Days which will be held at the following venues between 10am and 1pm:
- The Moorland Centre, Edale 22nd June
- Crowden YHA, Longdendale, Glossop 29th June
- Moorland Discovery Centre, Longshaw Estate 7th July
- Holme Village, Chapel Hall (Sunday School)13th July
- Sheffield Wildlife Trust’s HQ, Sheffield 20th July
The day will provide all the training you need to get started as a Community Science volunteer. You’ll receive everything you need to know about Community Science and details of how you’ll be helping to record the effects of climate change on local moors. We will provide you with the information and training you need to survey Bumblebees on a Kinder site and vital information about safety on the moors. You will also have a chance to meet and get to know fellow volunteers.
Please bring a picnic lunch and a drink and make sure you have warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy walking boots.
